South Africa is one country where city TLDs have really caught on. In fact, three of South Africa’s major cities—Durban, Capetown and Johannesburg—have embraced the future and gotten their own TLDs: .durban, .capetown and .joburg.
Now, for one day only (22 March 12:00 AM UTC to 11:59 PM UTC), all three TLDs will be on sale for €3.00, USD$3.00, £2.50, or TWD$110 (depending on your preferred currency). That's upwards of 80% off.
Get one now while you have the chance to take advantage of such a great deal.
South Africa is a country after our hearts. It seems like South Africa is showing up everywhere. Die Antwoord made a splash with their unique aesthetic only a few years ago, Trevor Noah will replace Jon Stewart on the Daily Show and it's even showing up on our wine bottles.
September is Tourism Month in South Africa, an annual celebration, and we wanted to get on board with the South Africa love and offer a promotion on three South African extensions: .capetown, for the most popular tourist city in Africa .durban, for the city whose beachfront is known as the Golden Mile and .joburg, a new global shopping capital.
Domains in these extensions will be available for one-third their normal price throughout the month of September, that is $11.59 per year (normally $35.11 at A rates) until September 30, 2015.
South Africa is a diverse and beautiful place, and is much more than the stereotypical safari imagery, so we are happy to be promoting it this month.
Three more new gTLDs are entering the Golive phase on Monday, November 3, at 10:00 p.m. PDT (that's Tuesday, November 4 at 5:00 a.m. UTC).
The newcomers are .capetown, .durbanand.joburg, and although they are geographic TLDs, they are open to registration by all, regardless of your place of residence.
One-year registrations of any of these three new TLDs will cost $35.11 at A rates.
Note: If you're reading this before GoLive begins, we strongly encourage you to pre-register now. We'll submit your order at the earliest possible moment.
