Go to the new Gandi

A list of five new gTLDs is entering Sunrise today, Tuesday, 18 March. If you hold a trademark from TMCH, you can register now; otherwise you can submit your order as a pre-registration for either Landrush or GoLive, and we'll submit it for you at the earliest possible moment.

Below, you will find the list of new extensions, the A-rate price for the Sunrise / Landrush / GoLive (aka General Availability) phases, respectively, and the GoLive date for each:

  • .dance: $124.68 / $139.68 / $24.44 (GoLive: 21 May)
  • .democrat: $$134.68 / $154.67 / $32.49 (GoLive: 21 May)
  • .futbol: $110.68 / $118.68 / $13.38 (GoLive: 4 June)
  • .reviews: $124.68 / $139.68 / $24.44 (GoLive: 4 June)
  • .social: $124.68 / $139.68 / $24.44 (GoLive: 4 June)

Seven new gTLDs are becoming available to all this Wednesday at 9am PST (16h00 UTC) (8am PST for .UNO).

Here's a list, along with the prices at A rates for one-year creations:

As usual, the General Availability phase is first-come, first-served, so if possible, we recommend pre-registering your domains before it begins. That way, your order will be submitted to the Registry at the earliest possible moment.

Spring is here, or at least that's we've been told by people outside of California.*

These wanderlust-inducing new gTLDs have just entered Sunrise, where they will remain until 17 May, 2014. The GoLive phase (General Availability) will begin 28 May, but you can pre-register starting right now and we'll submit your order to the Registry at the earliest possible moment.

The list, accompanied by links to the TLD pages and the prices at A rates for Sunrise / Landrush / GoLive, is as follows:

In case you missed it, we also offer .voyage.

* Explanatory note for native Californians: Everywhere else, spring is the season which comes after winter. Winter is the one with snow. You may have seen it on TV.

Sometimes we have to let go a little bit of the #no_bullshit mantra. And we know that not all our customers are humble developers, working for modest companies. That's why we're happy to diversify our offering and introduce the TLD that approximately .1% of you will be proud to brag about: .RICH.

This "new and exclusive domain extension and status symbol," along with three other, humbler, new gTLDs, is entering Sunrise at Gandi today. During Sunrise, you can either register domains (if you hold a trademark registered with TMCH) or you can pre-register for the upcoming Landrush and GoLive phases in order to be the first in line.

  • .BLUE will be added to the Gandi palette, joining the .RED and .PINK extensions that became available earlier this week.
  • .移动 (.mobile in Chinese) is intended for those who want to target the mobile market in Asia.
  • .ONL could conceivably be considered an abbreviation for "online" and is also a Spanish acronym for nonprofit organizations, Organizaciones No Lucrativas, and...
  • .RICH, as you'll see below, is pretty self-explanatory, but in case it wasn't clear, it's for rich people and their needs.

Here are the Sunrise / Landrush / GoLive prices at A rates, as well as a link to the respective TLD price pages:

  • .BLUE $40.54 / [no Landrush] /$16.31
  • .移动 $40.54 / [no Landrush] / $16.31
  • .ONL: $119.63 / $169.62 / $16.31
  • .RICH: $1,864.61 / [no Landrush] / $1,769.61 (!!!)

We can't help but share this gem, taken directly from the .RICH registry's website:

".RICH is the new and exclusive domain extension and status symbol on the internet for an elite circle of well-heeled personalities from the worlds of industry, art, fashion, sports and entertainment. From 2014, all these, along with selected providers of top-quality services, luxury and lifestyle brands will be able to hit the scene in the exclusively protected .RICH namespace - guaranteeing impressive exposure for their lifestyle in the spotlight!"

So join the Zuckerbergs, the Bill Gates, and other awesomely great people of the world, and get your .RICH today!

The Sunrise for this juicy new gTLD actually started a while ago, but don't worry: registrations won't be processed until the Sunrise phase ends, on 17 March 2014.

Until then, a .KIWI will set you back $195.17 and you must have a trademark registered with TMCH.

Landrush registrations, which will be possible from 17 March to 30 April, will cost $89.87.

General Availability (GoLive) will begin on the first of May, after which anyone will be able to register a .kiwi for $31.67.

For more information or to register a domain, see the .kiwi TLD info page.

This Tuesday 11 March, we are pleased to introduce you to six new extensions entering Sunrise. You'll find .foundation, the most popular of the six newcomers, along with .pink and .red to bring a little color to your domains, as well as .shiksha (that is, "education" in Hindi), .kim (as in the common Asian surname), and even a .exposed with all its potential.

Here are the prices in Sunrise / Landrush / General Availability (GoLive):

  • .exposed $112.68 / $132.68 / $21.22
  • .foundation $119.68 / $139.68 / $32.49
  • .kim $40.54* / no Landrush / $16.31
  • .pink $40.54* / no Landrush / $16.31
  • .red $40.54* / no Landrush / $16.31
  • .shiksha $40.54* / no Landrush / $16.31

Note that there is no Landrush phase for the four Afilias extensions and that the Sunrise is first-come, first-served.

* The Sunrise price for .kim, .pink, .red and .shiksha includes a two-year registration.

If driving a .cab or a .limo is one of your .domains, well, it's your lucky day.

This Wednesday 12 March at 9am PST (16h00 UTC), three new Donuts gTLDs will enter General Availability: .domains, .cab and .limo. (The much-anticipated .company was supposed to become available on the same day, but has been pushed back a week.)

Here are the prices (at A rates) for these three domains, along with a link to the respective TLD info pages:

The .wien Sunrise started on 11 February and will continue until 1 May 2014. During this phase, only owners of a trademark registered in Austria and via the TMCH will be able to register .wien domains.

For the rest of us, Landrush begins 2 June and will last one month, followed by General Availability (aka GoLive) starting on 15 July 2014.

The Registry's rules stipulate that any owner of a .wien domain must have an economic, cultural, touristic, historical, social, or other connection to Vienna, which is a pretty generous amount of leeway if you ask us. (Finally, this fondness of schnitzel – nay, this love – is paying off!)

Prices for a .WIEN at A rates for the first year of registration are as follows:

  • Sunrise (11 Feb to 1 May): $1,254.68
  • Landrush (2 June to 2 July): $214.68
  • General Availability/GoLive (15 July 2014): $37.96

For more information or to pre-register a .WIEN, see the .wien TLD info page.

At exactly 8am (PST) this Wednesday, 5 March (that's 2014-03-05T16:00:00+00:00 for you UTC fans), .photos, .careers, .recipes and .shoes will become open for registration by the public at regular rates.

It's not uncommon for the tubes to get a little clogged at the beginning of a new gTLD's General Availability, so we warmly (it's the season) invite you to pre-register before the gate opens. That way, you can be in the first group sent to the Registy and our NOCs won't be so jumpy.

Here's the link to the pricing page for each extension, accompanied by the price of a one-year registration at A rates:

Help us announce these new extensions on Twitter: the author of the wittiest tweet* promoting one of the four new extensions above will get a free domain name under that extension (provided the domain you want is actually available and you meet the Registry's requirements).
