We're here to address the gossip regarding Gandi and .八卦, also known as .xn--45q11c. The rumors, we confess, are true. We are in a relationship with this TLD: a loving and simultaneously professional relationship. We are tired of the rumormills constantly hounding us for a comment, so we are going public with this: .八卦 is entering the GoLive phase and is available through Gandi.

Coincidentally, 八卦 means "gossip" in Chinese.

Domains in this extension will now be available for $288.19 per year at A rates. Spread that rumor around as much as you like.

Le  .vin et le .wine sont arrivés ! (No we didn't just forget to translate that.)

Just like Beaujolais nouveau can't be released before November 19th, we'll be releasing domains in .vin or .wine extensions in the Sunrise phase November 17th, 2015. Imagine the scene at one minute past midnight on November 16th, millions of cases of .vin and .wine domains being loaded into a sleeping to Paris from little villages all over Burgundy.

By motorcycle, by truck, by rickshaw, by helicopter, by balloon, by elephant or via the wormhole on the other end of the black hole Fermi is creating, we hope to be the first to deliver to you the first .wine and .vin (French for "wine", if you didn't know already) of the Sunrise phase. Okay that's not how it really works, but imagine.

And if you must be the first to have a .wine or a .vin domain, you can try to be one of the first 100 wine pioneers. These lucky select few will be able to register their domains for free, so long as they put up a wine-appropriate website before the end of the Sunrise phase on January 16th, 2016. During this phase, .wine and .vin domains will be available for $176.23 per year. Then, from January 24 to January 27, 2016, these domains enter a three-day Landrush period when they'll be available for $197.83 per year.

Finally, these two extensions enter the GoLive phase, when they will be available for $68.09 per year at A rates, on January 27, 2016 at 8:00 AM PST.

There are few things more pleasant to do on a Fall day than laying out a blanket on a grassy hill and looking up at all those fluffy, white puffs of water vapor and transforming them into more familiar shapes.

Today, .cloud enters the Sunrise phase, a perfect domain for nephelococcygiacs. And while we'd rather be sitting on that grassy hill, of course, just like we apply alternative meanings to the random white fluffs in the sky, with the advent of cloud computing, "cloud" itself has become the go-to image to represent a number of concepts shaping our world today, so .cloud has a business side too.

During the Sunrise phase, .cloud domains will be available for $162.19 per year. The Landrush phase will go from January 25, 2016 to February, 5 2016 and during that period, these domains will be available for $61.93 per year and finally will enter the GoLive phase on February 16, 2016 when it will be available for $31.15 per year.

And while anyone is free to find shapes in the clouds, only those possessing TMCH claims may register one during the Sunrise phase.

What does your .cloud look like?

Like its megamall counterparts around the globe, the New South China Mall, the largest mall in the world, incorporates iconic architecture like the Arc de Triomphe, the Sphinx of Egypt, and even Venice's canals, concentrating the spectacle of old, grandiose architectural forms into a pastiche of grandeur to heighten the shopping experience and relieve the tension its visitors would no doubt feel wandering through such a vast cavern of commercialism.

But after the South China Mall opened in 2005, it failed to attract tenants. It sat empty and became a "dead mall." However, the mall reopened earlier this year after "upgrading and retrofitting" and now has over 100,000 visitors a day. It has experienced a very real renaissance, not just a simulacrum of The Renaissance.

The TLD .商城 (punycode .xn--czru2d) means "mall" in Chinese, and it's been a virtual space we had previously not paid much attention to, like visitors had to the South China Mall. But like the South China megamall, we feel it deserves a renaissance too. So we're happy to announce that .商城 will now be available from Gandi for $288.19 per year at A rates.

As the weather is getting colder and the calendar marches interminably through the month of November, we are increasingly reminded of that socially mandatory celebration period starting at the end of this month and lasting roughly a month later, during which we are all obliged to participate in some of the following mandatory activities:

- consuming higher than the recommended daily allowance of turkey

- consuming any cranberries at all, really

- consuming sugared pumpkin pastries

- biting tongue when grandpa gets drunk and rants about politics

- compensating for strained and/or distant relationships through commercialism

and of course

- spending time with one's family

And so in celebration of this most cherished time of year, an extension for the friends you don't choose and are stuck with your whole life is entering the Sunrise phase: .family.

Okay just kidding. We really do love our families (Hi Mom!).

The Sunrise phase will last from November 10, 2015 through the Lowest-Amount-of-Light-per-Day Season until January 9, 2016. Domains in this extension will be available to qualified buyers at $167.59 per year during this phase. The Sunrise phase is for TMCH-registered trademark holders. Then, between January 17 and January 20, 2016, .family will be in the Landrush phase, during which .family domains will be available for $178.39 per year.

Finally at 9:00 AM PST on January 20, 2016, .family will enter the GoLive phase when it will be priced at $31.15 per year at A rates.

Ever since .online came online, people have been lining up to take advantage of the promotion that's been live since GoLive on this TLD which saw domains in this extension normally priced at $51.67 at only $12.49 per year at A rates.
