It's always with great remorse that we make this type of announcement but effective 23 January 2017, in order to comply with our contractual obligations, we have increased registration and renewal prices on 76 TLDs, on all price grids.

The reason for the price increase largely has to do with the fact that we pay most new gTLDs in US Dollars and exchange rates have recently fluctuated such that we were compelled to increase rates on affected TLDs.

Generally, we don't adjust our prices based on minor exchange rate fluctuations, however the variations this time were too significant to be able to avoid adjusting our rates. So it's out of necessity that we are notifying you of the following new rates on the following TLDs:

Taxes are not included in the above prices, which unless otherwise indicated, apply both to renewals and creations.

Besides the TLDs listed above, the following TLDs are also impacted, though only in grids B through E:

.asia, .org, .ag, .tv, .tel, .ws, .mobi:

  • Grids B and C: +10% on transfers only
  • Grids D and E: +10% on all operations

One last TLD, .biz, is also impacted but only on Grid E. The prices for all operations have been increased by 10%.

Some 29% of English words have a French origin. Sometimes these are words for specific concepts like laissez-faire or déjà vu, but it’s also a lot of words that have a more boring-sounding English way to say them but have that certain je ne sais quoi in French.

You could have a fun night out, but make it a soirée and it’s just that much more sophisticated. Or maybe you’re bored? Call it ennui and turn it into a philosophical condition.

From April 1 through June 30, 2016 we have a few extensions like this on sale for just $10.00 a piece (per year) that give your domains the same allure.

For example, don’t just open a store, make it a .boutique (normally $32.49 at A rates). A trip becomes that much more epic when you make it a .voyage (which goes for $52.65 at A rates). And maybe you knew .maison is French for house?

We should also mention a couple that maybe haven’t quite crossed over into English yet: .immo and .sarl (usually $38.34 each) that are both on sale. The former is for the real estate industry and the later is the equivalent of “LLC” in a company name.

The impeccable, gleaming, white linoleum floor reflects the glow of endless banks of white florescent light receding into the distance. A garble of murmuring voices muttering endless chatter to one another drowns in the quiet, gentle cacophony of water falling in a fountain.

Every 30 yards or so, the portal to a new realm, each defined by its own aesthetic rules, drifts past the eye. A planter overflowing with ferns invokes the latent wild side lurking beneath the surface in the unflinchingly commercial space of the mall: the primal desire to find reasonable prices on just, like, normal pants. This is not just any shameless exploitation of our most base instincts to grease the gears of the global economy: this is shopping.

And today, Donuts will be releasing all domains formerly prohibited due to name collision concerns in the Shopping category. They will be rolled out like a cart full of groceries according to an EAP-style schedule.

The EAP prices (at A rates, not including any applicable tax) will vary by day, and will be approximately as follows:

    Day 1 (July 22, 2015 at 16:00 UTC): +$12,667
    Day 2 (July 23, 2015 at 16:00 UTC): +$4,222
    Day 3 (July 24, 2015 at 16:00 UTC): +$1,778
    Day 4 (July 25, 2015 at 16:00 UTC): +$945
    Days 5-7 (July 26-28, 2015 at 16:00 UTC): +$189

Nine more new gTLDs are entering the Golive phase.
